“It’s 50 years since the movie came out so it’s wonderful people still connect with it.
“I think it is a family movie and it has a love story and beautiful mountains so I guess it’s got a lot going for it.”

Andrews filmed ‘Darling Lili’ in Dublin in 1968 and said returning to Ireland was always a pleasure.
“I love this country very much. I made a movie here many years ago and it hadn’t changed much. It’s so warm and welcoming.”
Andrews is currently writing a memoirs which is due for release in September 2017.
The yet to be titled book will pick up where her previous book Home left off and span her career from the 1960s to the 1990s.
“It will be a few years in the making,” she said. “It will let me fit the pieces of the jigsaw together.”
Over the course of the 11 day Jameson Dublin International Film Festival 130 movies from 38 countries were screened.
A plethora of celebrities attended including Sir Kenneth Branagh, Russell Crowe and Alan Rickman but Andrews ensured the festival ended on a solfege of high notes.
